Man Killed, 17-year-old Injured in Wreck with Tractor-trailer

According to New Jersey 101.5, a semi-truck collides with a van, leaving one man dead and another in the hospital with critical injuries in South Brunswick, New Jersey.

No Charges Filed, says police

The accident occurred at the intersection of Raymond Road and Route 1 at around 9:22 p.m. local time on Tuesday. Two people in the Ford transit van attempted to cross Route 1 when an 18-wheeler crashed into their vehicle.

The 17-year-old passenger in the transit van was ejected from the vehicle, landing in the roadway and sustaining critical injuries. New Jersey 101.5 reports that the boy received treatment at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

John Jermill Williams, 29, the driver of the transit van, received treatment at University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro but succumbed to his injuries at 10:44 p.m.

According to New Jersey 101.5, the driver of the semi-truck, 45-year-old Nohemi Farfan, also suffered from injuries and received treatment at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He was released after treatment.

Police have not yet filed any charges as the investigation is currently ongoing, reports New Jersey 101.5.
