Miami Man Killed After Crashing into Utility Pole

WILX News reports that police in Lansing have identified the driver who was killed in a single-vehicle accident that happened on the morning of April 18.

Details about the Fatal Lansing Accident

According to Lansing Police, the accident happened on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near Lapeer Road. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as 30-year-old Pedro Noa Riverol of Miami, Florida. Riverol died as a result of the injuries he sustained in the accident.

Police say that Riverol was heading north on MLK Boulevard when he somehow lost control of the vehicle and hit a utility pole. Riverol was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the accident, and a portion of MLK Boulevard was closed off for a few hours so emergency crews and investigators could work the area around the accident.

At this time, the accident remains under investigation.
