Motorcyclist Killed in Monroe County Accident

One man was killed in a motorcycle accident that happened in Monroe County.

Details about the Fatal Motorcycle Accident

13 WMAZ News is reporting that a man from Forsyth County was killed on Sunday evening after being involved in a motorcycle accident, according to a release from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

The release further stated that deputies responded to the single vehicle accident that happened along the 3200 block of Stoke Store Road at about 8:18 p.m. When deputies and emergency crews arrived at the scene of the accident, they found 56-year-old Elmer A. Lundy dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Lundy left the roadway when he was traveling west, went into a ditch, and fell off of his motorcycle. A full investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.
