Motorcyclist Suffers Fatal Injuries in Three-vehicle Collision

According to The Wichita Eagle, a man on a motorcycle died after being hit by a truck in Wichita, Kansas, on Sunday afternoon.

About the Deadly Motorcycle Crash

Justin D. Epley, 37, was riding his motorcycle eastbound on 21st Street at around 5:30 p.m. local time when the fatal crash occurred. Epley approached the intersection at 167th Street West when a pickup truck pulled in front of him, causing the motorcyclist to crash.

The Wichita Eagle reports that 24-year-old Jacob E. Cross, the pickup truck driver, failed to yield to the motorcycle. Epley was pronounced dead at the scene. A 21-year-old female passenger in the pickup truck sustained minor injuries.

Following the collision between the motorcycle and pickup truck, The Wichita Eagle reports that an SUV stopped at the intersection was hit by the pickup truck. The crash remains under investigation as of Monday.
