Motorcyclist Sustains Fatal Injury in Crash with Car

According to The Times Tribune, a man is dead after being struck on his motorcycle by a car on State Route 29 in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania.

Details of the Fatal Motorcycle Crash

Police say Jeffrey Rowe, 48, traveled north on SR 29 on his motorcycle at around 4:55 p.m. local time on Wednesday. The accident occurred at the intersection with Keelersburg Road, when a 72-year-old motorist in a Honda Accord turned left into oncoming traffic.

The Times Tribune reports that Rowe crashed into the car and was tossed from his motorcycle and landed in the southbound lanes of SR 29. Rowe sustained life threatening injuries and was airlifted from the scene. Rowe later succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday night at Geisinger Community Medical Center.

The driver of the Accord, Nancy Sechrist, suffered from a broken nose and received treatment at Tyler Memorial Hospital, according to The Times Tribune.
