Motorcyclist, SUV Driver Killed in Wrong-Way Collison

According to The Dallas Morning News, a motorist and a motorcyclist were killed after colliding on the Bush Turnpike in Rowlett, Texas, on Sunday.

Driver of SUV May Have Been Drunk, says police

A driver in a Chevy Tahoe collided with a motorcycle while traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the Bush Turnpike. The accident occurred at around 11:15 p.m. near the Main Street intersection.

The driver of the Tahoe and the motorcyclist died in the collision. A passenger in the Tahoe, according to the Dallas Morning News, escaped the SUV before it caught on fire.

Police are investigating how the driver entered the turnpike in the wrong direction. In addition, a Texas State Trooper told The Dallas Morning News that the driver of the SUV may have been intoxicated at the time of the accident.
