According to WBIW, a female motorist suffered from injuries after colliding with a tractor-trailer near Mitchell, Indiana, on Tuesday morning.

Details of the Injury Accident

Kelcy Iles, 27, drove her SUV northbound on Indiana Highway 37 near Dillon Road when the accident occurred. Officials say Iles crossed over the center dividing line when she attempted to pick her glasses up off the floor.

WBIW reports that an oncoming 18-wheeler crashed into her SUV, striking it on the left-rear side. Iles lost control of her vehicle and flipped it onto its top over an embankment.

The damage to the SUV trapped Iles inside, requiring a lengthy extrication from emergency crews, reports WBIW. After extrication, Iles received an airlift to Louisville Hospital for treatment for injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer did not sustain injuries in the collision.
