Motorist Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run Drunk Driving Crash

According to the San Antonio Express-News, a man suffered serious injuries after being struck by a drunk driver in San Antonio on Monday.

Driver Faces Multiple Charges

A drunk driver in a pickup truck ran a red light, crashing into another man’s Ford Focus, trapping him inside. The collision occurred at around 2:16 a.m. at the intersection of East Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard and South Flores Street in San Antonio.

The San Antonio Express-News reports that after the collision, the driver of the pickup drove away from the scene but police soon pulled him over. The driver appeared to be drunk, according to a police report. In addition, the pickup driver faces intoxication assault and failure to stop and render aid charges.

The other motorist is receiving treatment at San Antonio Military Medical Center where he is in serious condition, according to the San Antonio Express-News.
