A second vehicle has been identified as having been involved in a fatal motorcycle accident that happened last week.
The Idaho State Journal is reporting that the family of a man from Chubbuck that was killed in a motorcycle accident on March 8 was notified by the Pocatello police last week that a second driver has been identified in connection to the crash that took the life of 50-year-old Darrell Garza Sr.
The victim had lost control of the motorcycle and crashed on Yellowstone Avenue near the WinCo Foods in Pocatello. The victim was then taken to the Portneuf Medical Center, where he died from traumatic head injuries.
The family was en route to a family dinner together. The rest of the family was about 2 minutes behind the victim at the time of the accident. One of the sons of the victim witnessed the accident and assumed it was another vehicle until he saw his father on the ground.
Witnesses at the scene of the accident report that they saw Garza suddenly slam on his brakes. Other witnesses told the family that they saw that Garza was struck by another vehicle before he went down.
Police and other investigators examined video of the accident and determined that Garza ha, indeed, been cut off by another vehicle.
