According to WSL-AM, Richard Bowden, 62, was riding a commercial mower at the Greenacre Country Club when the mower tipped over into an embankment. Bowden was pinned underneath it.
An autopsy conducted on Sunday revealed the Bowden died of traumatic asphyxia while he was pinned under the mower. Blunt force injuries were also considered a contributing factor in his death.
A similar accident occurred in a nearby suburb just eight days prior to Bowden’s death. In that incident, a water department employee was pinned under water by a mower in Hanover Park.
