One Dead, Four Others Injured in Deadly Head-on Car Crash

According to KATV, a 19-year-old woman died and four others sustained injuries following a devastating head-on wreck on Interstate 530 in Jefferson County, Arkansas.

Details of the Fatal Accident

Police say the two-car accident occurred at around 3:10 p.m. on Thursday afternoon near mile marker 20. Darrykha Dukes, 19, and her passenger, Olivia Perez-Porch, 19, drove southbound on Interstate 530 when the vehicle crossed over the median.

The vehicle went through a cable barrier and struck another vehicle head-on in the northbound lanes. Perez-Porch sustained significant injuries from the crash and succumbed to her injuries at a hospital, according to KATV.

Dukes also sustained injuries in the crash and received treatment at a hospital. Brian and Brittany Thompson along with an unnamed minor were injured and transported to a hospital. KATV reports that some of the crash victims were ejected from the vehicle during the wreck.
