One Dead in Head-On Collision Between Pickup and 18-Wheeler

A resident of Orange, Texas was killed Monday when his pickup collided head-on with an 18-wheeler in Mauriceville.

Details of the Mauriceville Trucking Accident

According to KBMT, the crash occurred around noon on Highway 62.

Perez was traveling south on the highway when his vehicle lost control, crossed the median, and collided with a tractor-trailer near FM 1130. Perez was pronounced dead at the scene, and the truck driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Both lanes of the highway were closed following the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
