One Dead, One Injured in Motorcycle Crash


According to the York Dispatch, a motorcyclist was killed Monday night when he crashed into a car turning onto Roosevelt Avenue in York, Pennsylvania.

Details of the Fatal Accident

Christopher Rizzuto, 20, was traveling at a high rate of speed when he blew through a red light, crashing his motorcycle into a car at the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and Route 30. Police say Rizzuto was thrown over 100 feet from his motorcycle.

Rizzuto died from his injuries during his transport to a local hospital, according to the York Dispatch. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The driver of the car suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to a nearby hospital. The motorcyclist’s death was ruled an accident by the York County Coroner’s Office.
