One Dead in Paw Paw Trucking Accident

Michigan State Police are investigating a fatal multivehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer.

Driver Distraction Expected in Fatal Trucking Accident

According to WWMT, the crash happened around 11:05 AM in a construction zone on westbound I-95 near mile marker 63 and left one person dead.

An early investigation suggests the crash began when a semi rear-ended a passenger vehicle before barreling into three other vehicles. The front seat passenger of the first passenger vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Several others were transported to area hospitals, but the extent of their injuries were not immediately available.

Authorities suggest that driver distraction may have been a contributing factor in the crash.
