One Dead, Several Injured in Multi-Vehicle Pile-Up

According to ABC 13, a 28-year-old man was killed during a seven-vehicle accident in Katy, Texas.

Several Seriously Injured, Hospitalized

The 28-year-old was driving his black Honda northbound when he failed to stay in his lane on Highway 6 in west Katy, crossing into oncoming traffic and striking a Hyundai Sonata traveling southbound. The Hyundai struck a wall as the Honda was hit by an oncoming pickup truck.

ABC 13 reports that the initial accident caused several additional vehicles to be struck, causing a multi-vehicle pileup and several injuries. Two people were seriously injured, one was sent to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, and another was LifeFlighted in critical condition.

All lanes of the highway were closed as the accident was cleaned up. The investigation of the wreck is ongoing, reports ABC 13.
