One Injured after Two Trucks, Car Collide

According to the York News-Times, a semi-truck driver is in serious condition after striking a car and another semi-truck at a traffic light in York, Nebraska, on Wednesday.

Victim’s Truck Cabin Explodes

The injured man’s truck was carrying liquid-contents when it smashed into a car at the stop light and lost control, crossing southbound lanes and hitting a semi-truck.

Witnesses to the wreck, according to the York News-Times, said the first truck’s cab exploded and burst into flames after the accident, tearing away from the rest of the truck. The driver was taken to York General Hospital before being flown to Lincoln Hospital in very serious condition.

The other semi-truck driver and the driver of the car did not appear to be injured in the accident.

The York Police Department is investigating the accident, according to the York News-Times.
