One Injured in Officer-Involved Crash in San Antonio

An officer-involved auto accident on Interstate 10 westbound stalled traffic on Wednesday just before noon.

Details about the Officer-Involved Crash in San Antonio

At least one person was reportedly injured in a car accident in San Antonio yesterday that involved a police officer from the San Antonio Police Department.

The accident happened at around 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday just before the lunch hour, when the San Antonio Fire Department had received calls from witnesses at the scene of the accident saying that a San Antonio Police Department patrol car had been hit by another driver at Interstate 10 and Huebner.

KENS 5 News in San Antonio is reporting that, according to firefighters, the officer was not injured in the accident, but that the driver of the other vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital. The extent of the injuries of the other driver are currently unknown.

Traffic was slowed down to just one lane in the area while emergency crews worked to clear the scene of the accident.
