One Killed, Five Hospitalized in North Florida Crash

According to First Coast News, an 18-year-old was killed and five others were hospitalized after a car collision in St. Johns County, Florida on Sunday evening.

Two Passengers Airlifted to Local Hospital

The deceased, Griffin Moody of Ponte Vedra, 18, was accompanied in the vehicle by three high school seniors, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The teens’ car was struck by an unseen, oncoming vehicle during a left turn.

Moody was killed in the collision while five others involved in the accident were transported to areas hospitals. At least two were airlifted from the scene.

Moody had graduated from Allen D. Nease High School the year previous.

The wreck occurred around 8 p.m. local time.
