Pedestrian, 21, in Critical Condition after Hit-and-Run Car Wreck

According to Fox 13, a hit-and-run driver struck a pedestrian in Parkway Village in Memphis, Tennessee, on Thursday night.

Details of the Pedestrian Accident

A 21-year-old man walked near the intersection of Cottonwood Road and South Perkins Road at around 11:45 p.m. local time when the crash occurred.

According to police, a driver collided with the man at the intersection. FOX13 reports that it is currently unknown if the man was in the designated crosswalk at the intersection. Police have not indicated whether the man crossed at the appropriate time or if the driver violated a traffic law.

The pedestrian is currently in critical condition, reports FOX13. Memphis Police Department says they have responded to more than 350 incidents involving a person being struck by a car so far in 2016.
