A woman at the Morris Hotel on E. Fourth Street was behind her vehicle unloading from the trunk at around 10:51 p.m. local time when the incident occurred. Witnesses say the pedestrian’s vehicle was hit by another car before it struck her, sending her underneath the parked vehicle.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reports that the unidentified pedestrian was injured and taken to Renown Regional Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the car, 29-year-old Alexandria Walls, remained at the scene and cooperated with police before being transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Walls was arrested after her hospital discharge and charged with driving under the influence, due care, possession of a controlled substance, and possession with the intent to sell, according to The Reno Gazette-Journal.
