Police Seek Driver, Occupants of Vehicle involved in Fatal Pedestrian Crash

According to KHOU, police are searching for the driver and passengers of a pickup truck that fatally injured a pedestrian in Houston on Wednesday night.

Details of Fatal Pedestrian Accident

The pedestrian accident in Houston occurred on the Gulf Freeway near Easton Street and Loop 610 at around 11:00 p.m. Officials say the pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was hit by a truck while crossing the freeway.

After the collision, the driver of the pickup pulled over, and everyone inside the truck ran from the scene, according to KHOU. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Officials say they know the address where the vehicle is registered, but they are hoping witnesses will be able to provide the direction in which the driver and occupants fled. Witnesses are encouraged to contact Houston Police Department’s Hit and Run Unit or Crime Stoppers.
