According to NECN, a pregnant woman and two children sustained injuries after being struck by a car in a crosswalk in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, on Monday morning.

No Charges Filed, Crash under Investigation

Hopkinton police say the crash occurred on Hayden Rowe Street around 10:00 a.m. local time. The pregnant woman and another woman crossed Hayden Rowe Street with their children on their way to a nearby park.

A woman stopped her car to let the group cross the street. According to NECN, another vehicle crashed into her car before colliding with the woman and children in the street.

Police say one of the drivers was taken to the hospital. The Hopkinton Chief of Police says drivers must be more vigilant and cautious when it comes to driving in a school zone where pedestrians traverse all day long.

No other information on the status of the hospitalized individuals were made public as of yet. NECN reports that although no charges have yet been filed, the accident is still under investigation.
