1.4M Hondas Recalled for Faulty Fuel Pumps

Honda and Acura are recalling 136,057 vehicles with the 2018-2019 model year because of their defective fuel pumps.

About the Honda Recall

Honda is recalling nearly 1.4M vehicles worldwide because their fuel pumps could fail and cause engines to stall or lose power. According to Honda, no crashes or injuries have been reported.

Owners of the affected vehicles will receive notification letters in late July. Acura and Honda dealers will replace the fuel pumps free of charge.

List of the Recalled Honda Vehicles

The U.S. recall includes 136,000 vehicles in the following models:

  • 2018-2019 Honda Accord
  • 2018-2019 Civic Hatchback
  • 2018-2019 Civic Type R
  • 2018-2019 Honda HR-V
  • 2019 Honda Fit
  • 2019-2020 Insight
  • 2019 Acura RDX
  • 2019 Honda RLX and RLX Sport Hybrid
  • 2018-2019 NSX
