Fisher-Price has voluntarily recalled 71,000 inclined infant sleep accessories due to safety concerns raised about the products.
About the Inclined Infant Sleeper Recall
Though no deaths or injuries have been reported for product, Fisher-Price and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has decided to pull thousands of Ultra Lite Day & Night Play Yards from the market.
This decision was made after similar products were linked to over 40 infant deaths. The company is concerned that infants can roll from their backs to their stomachs while using the inclined sleep accessory, risking injury or death.
About the Inclined Infant Sleeper
The recalled product is a portable play yard with inclined sleeper, changing station, clutch accessories, and carrying bag. The only portion of the product that is being recalled is the sleeper accessory.
According to the CPSC, the play yard was sold at juvenile product stores and mass merchandisers nationwide from October 2014 through June 2019 for between $90 and $110.
The recalled model numbers are CBV60, CHP86, CHR06, CJK24, and DJD11 and can be found on the fabric label inside of the play yard and on the back of the inclined sleeper pad.
About the Inclined Infant Sleeper Remedy
Fisher-Price has instructed consumers to immediately stop using the product and contact them for a refund or voucher.
The actual play yard, changing station, clutch accessory, and carrying bag are not included in the recall and may still be used.
