Lipari Foods has voluntarily recalled dark chocolate covered coffee beans due to undeclared almonds.
About the Chocolate Covered Coffee Bean Recall
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), these chocolate covered coffee bean products fail to list almonds on their product label, putting those with an allergy to tree nuts at risk.
These products were distributed throughout retail stores in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and West Virginia.
The FDA reports that people who are allergic to almonds run the risk of a serious or life-threatening reaction if these products are consumed.
It is safe for consumption for those that do no have an allergy or sensitivity to almonds.
