NHTSA Announces Recall of 25,000 Graco Child Car Seats

The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced that Graco Children’s Products will be recalling roughly 25,000 Graco My Ride 65 convertible child car seats.

About the Graco Car Seat Recall

According to a release from NHTSA, the child seat’s sewn webbing may tear under load resulting in the child not being adequately restrained during a crash. This can result in an increased risk of injury or death.

The defect was detected during safety testing by NHTSA. The defect is believed to exist in one batch of the sewn webbing.

Graco will be notifying owners of the recalled car seats, and dealers will provide consumers with a replacement harness. The recall is expected to begin July 17.
