Fiat Chrysler has issued a recall for several varieties of Ram pickup truck for steering and brake issues.
About the Ram Truck Recall
CBS Pittsburgh reports that over 600,000 heavy-duty trucks have been recalled due to a loose nut that can cause a loss of steering control.
Eight crashes and one injury potentially related to the steering failure have been reported. In addition, more than 190,000 light-duty pickup trucks are being recalled due to the risk of the brake pedal detaching.
According to CBS Pittsburgh, dealers will make the appropriate adjustments to affected vehicles.
Description of Recalled Trucks
The recall for steering failure applies to:
2013-2017 Ram 3500 heavy-duty pickup trucks
2014-2017 Ram 2500 pickup trucks
2014-2017 Ram 3500 chassis cabs
The recall for detaching brake pedals applies to 2019 Ram 1500 pickup trucks with adjustable pedals.
Vehicle owners can visit the Mopar website or call (800)-853-1403 to find out whether the recall applies to them.
