WISN-TV reports on a slew of recalls issued by a wide variety of companies between January 8th and January 14th

Recall of Food Items by Hostess, Kettle Cuisine, and Perfect Fit Meals

  • Hostess: Hostess is recalling Holiday White Peppermint Twinkies due to possible salmonella. The recall was prompted by Blommer Chocolate Co., the supplier of Hostess’s confectionery coating.
  • Kettle Cuisine: The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Inspection Service claims that 24-ounce cups of Italian wedding soup with meatballs made by Kettle Cuisine have been mislabeled as “Mom’s Chicken Soup.” The affected soups have “use by” dates of February 17th. They are sold in Whole Foods Market Stores in New England.
  • Perfect Fit Meals: The USDA claims that Lemon Pepper Chicken made by the company contains known allergens milk and wheat that aren’t labeled. The items in question were made on December 20th and 21st and come in 10.5 ounce packages. They have “use or freeze by” dates of 1/21/17.

Recall of Vehicles and Household Items by Ford, Honda, Lumière, and Dunkin’ Donuts

  • Lumière: Three different styles of Himalayan rock salt lamps are being recalled.
  • Ford: Ford is adding 816,000 vehicles to the expanding recall of Takata airbag inflators.
  • Honda: Honda is recalling 772,000 more Honda and Acura vehicles due to defective front passenger seat air bag inflators also supplied by Takata.
  • Dunkin’ donuts: Dunkin’ Donuts is recalling 8,300 16-ounce glass tumblers. They are around 8 inches tall and 3 inches wide.
