Toys ‘R’ Us Recalls Pacifier Clips Due to Choking Hazard
Toys ‘R’ Us is recalling over 50,000 pacifier clips sold exclusively at their Babies ‘R’ Us and Toys ‘R’ Us stores nationwide.
About the Toys ‘R’ Us Pacifier Clip Recall
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the recall was issued due to a spring mechanism malfunctioning on the pacifier clip, releasing small parts that could cause a choking hazard for children.
The recall involves Babies ‘R’ Us pacifier clips sold between February 2015 and April 2016. Two reports of pacifier clips breaking have been reported, but there have been no injuries attributed to the recalled products.
Consumers should immediately refrain from using the recalled pacifier clips and return the product to Toys ‘R’ Us or Babies ‘R’ Us for a refund.
Description of the Recalled Toys ‘R’ Us Pacifier Clips
The recalled pacifier clips come in an assortment of six different colors and character designs including a red monster, blue monster, monkey, giraffe, an owl with one eye closed, and an owl with both eyes open.
The pacifier clips have a circular plastic cover attached to a metal spring clip and a fabric strip with snaps at the other end.

Parents and guardians must watch out for small parts that pose choking hazards. They must also be aware of electric malfunctions of toys which could cause burn injuries and electrocution.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that 150,000 families visit emergency rooms annually because of a toy-related injury and that choking is the leading cause of toy-related death.
