Soft Play has recently recalled about 200 of McDonald’s Restaurant Play Places due to dangerous fall hazards for children.
According to Soft Play, the global leader of indoor playground equipment, the platform designs of the spider playgrounds were distanced too far away, thus leading to disproportionate climbing lengths and fall hazards among children scaling the playgrounds.
There have been at least 34 reports of injury due to fall hazards alone on the climber. It is the job of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to protect the public from unnecessary injuries and property incidents that inevitably result in at least $1 trillion each year. As the CPSC has issued this product as unsafe, Soft Play has taken measures to repair each dysfunctional product in participating McDonald’s locations nationwide at no extra cost.
