According to KSAT, the two men were travelling on West Military Drive near Highway 151 when a vehicle struck them and fled the scene. The vehicle is described as a dark color sedan. Authorities believe the driver is female.
The two men were treated at University Hospital and are expected to make a full recovery.
According to ValleyCentral.com, an American Automobile Association (AAA) study showed a 30 percent increase in fatal hit-and-run accidents in Texas between 2015 and 2016.
No matter how frightening an accident might be, running from the scene is against the law and will only make things worse. Drivers who run may suffer legal consequences when caught. To avoid the chance of legal trouble, take the proper actions after a traffic accident, which includes calling the police and checking on the welfare of everyone involved.
