School Transport Van and Car Collide, Injuring One Woman

According to The News Observer, an elderly woman was hospitalized after her vehicle was hit by a school transportation van in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Tuesday afternoon.

Details of the Injury Accident

Frances House, 83, and her husband Billie, 85, were driving westbound on Lynn Road when the accident happened. The couple was crossing the intersection at Valley Drive when their car was struck by a van carrying students.

The News Observer reports that Frances House suffered from life-threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to WakeMed Hospital. She was listed in critical condition as of Wednesday. There was no information regarding the condition of the van driver or Billie House. None of the children on board the van were injured in the crash.

The transportation van was owned by Reese Transit Inc., reports The News Observer.
