Semi-Truck Causes Five Vehicle Wreck, Multiple Injuries

According to The Citizen’s Voice, a multiple-vehicle wreck involving an 18-wheeler on Interstate 81 in Sugarloaf Township, Pennsylvania, results in several injuries.

Details of the Semi-truck Wreck

The crash occurred between Route 93 and 924 around 7:00 a.m. on Thursday morning. Officials say a tractor-trailer crashed into five vehicles, trapping and injuring several occupants in their vehicles – including a female driver trapped underneath the semi.

The Citizen’s Voice reports that one driver was able to escape her vehicle on her own. In addition, a pickup truck rolled over into an embankment after being slammed into an SUV by the 18-wheeler. Three of the vehicles involved in the crash, including the big rig, came to rest along the embankment.

Details of the crash are still under investigation, according to The Citizen’s Voice. Police are looking for any witnesses who may have additional information into the cause of the wreck.
