According to KWTX, both vehicles were on Northbound Highway 214 when the accident occurred. The driver of the semi-truck was trying to pass to the other lane while the bus was turning onto CR 1028. This caused the semi driver to crash into the bus.
The driver of the semi was injured along with 9 children on the bus. However, none of the injuries were severe or life-threatening. The bus had been taking children home from summer school classes.
The accident remains under investigation.
