Jason Schaller, 35, and 31-year-old Jesse Crabtree were driving north on Interstate 275 west of Cincinnati around 2:00 a.m. local time when the accident happened. Officials say Schaller’s pickup truck was struck by an 18-wheeler after it crossed over a grass median.
The Daily Progress reports that 31-year-old Angeson Abreha, traveling south, failed to handle a curve on the interstate. Schaller died at the scene of the wreck. Crabtree was treated for injuries at a local hospital and released.
Abreha was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was arrested shortly thereafter, reports The Daily Progress. He faces charges of vehicular manslaughter.
