Semi-Truck Driver Faces Charges Following Fatal Head-on Crash with Pickup

According to The Daily Progress, one man is dead and another injured after being hit by a semi-truck in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Sunday morning.

Details of Fatal Wreck

Jason Schaller, 35, and 31-year-old Jesse Crabtree were driving north on Interstate 275 west of Cincinnati around 2:00 a.m. local time when the accident happened. Officials say Schaller’s pickup truck was struck by an 18-wheeler after it crossed over a grass median.

The Daily Progress reports that 31-year-old Angeson Abreha, traveling south, failed to handle a curve on the interstate. Schaller died at the scene of the wreck. Crabtree was treated for injuries at a local hospital and released.

Abreha was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was arrested shortly thereafter, reports The Daily Progress. He faces charges of vehicular manslaughter.
