Seven Injured in Multi-car Crash near Vandenberg AFB

According to Noozhawk, four people were seriously injured in a crash involving multiple vehicles near Vandenberg Air Force Base on Wednesday morning.

Details of Multi-vehicle Wreck

The injury accident occurred on Highway 1 near Firefighter Road at around 6:30 a.m. local time. The cause of the crash is currently unknown, but officials say six vehicles were involved, causing the highway to be closed for hours.

Noozhawk reports that one person was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center with major injuries. Three others sustained moderate injuries and were taken to Marian and Lompoc Valley Medical Centers.

Three other victims sustained minor injuries in the crash but declined hospitalization. The crash is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
