Teen Driver Causes Fatal Car Wreck


According to Syracuse.com, one person is dead and another injured after a multiple-vehicle accident on Interstate 81 in Cicero, New York.

No Charges Have Been Filed

The 16-year-old driver of a Toyota Scion crossed over the median traveling northbound on Interstate 81. Police say the Scion struck a southbound vehicle, causing it to spin before being struck by a van heading southbound.

Syracuse.com reports that the 16-year-old driver sustained head injuries and was transported to Upstate University Hospital. The passenger in his car was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the southbound vehicle suffered lower back injuries and was taken to the hospital. According to Syracuse.com, the multi-vehicle crash is still under investigation.
