Teenage Driver Loses Control of SUV, Strikes Pedestrian

According to the Naperville Sun, a female teenage driver struck a woman walking along the road after losing control of her vehicle in Naperville, Illinois, on Tuesday morning.

Details of the Pedestrian Accident

A 17-year-old was driving eastbound on Warrenville Road when the crash occurred. Police say the teenage driver left the roadway and hit a 37-year-old woman walking westbound on Warrenville road.

The Naperville Sun reports that the victim sustained potentially life-threatening injuries. She is receiving treatment at Edward Hospital in Naperville.

The Naperville Police Department’s crash reconstruction unit is investigating the cause of the crash, reports the Naperville Sun. No citations have been given out thus far.
