Teenager Struck by SUV on Saratoga Blvd

A teenager was hospitalized after being hit by an SUV on Saratoga Boulevard Wednesday morning.

About the Corpus Christi Pedestrian Accident

According to KRIS-TV, the pedestrian accident in Corpus Christi occurred around 10 am on Saratoga near Shea Parkway.

The girl ran from her class at Tom Browne Middle School and was being chased by several administrators when the accident occurred. Upon reaching Saratoga, the girl was struck by the SUV’s mirror.

Officers said the girl suffered head injuries, but they are not believed to be life threatening. She is currently being treated at Driscoll Children’s Hospital.

Reports did not indicate why she was running from the middle school, but she was described as being distraught.
