Texas Deputy Killed in Head-on Collision

According to KWTX News, Eastland County sheriff deputy Kenneth Maltby was fatally injured Wednesday when he was involved in a head-on collision while driving to work.

Details of the Fatal Head-On Collision

The DPS stated that Colton James Conger was driving a pickup truck on Farm Road 570 when he swerved to avoid another vehicle and crashed into Maltby’s SUV head-on.

Sheriff Wayne Bradford mentioned that Maltby was on duty and driving to work when the wreck had occurred. The retired Dallas police officer died at the scene, and Conger was hospitalized in stable condition.
