Texas Man Killed in Tulsa Crash

A Texas resident died Tuesday after a vehicle struck his parked car near Tulsa, Oklahoma.

About the Fatal Tulsa Crash

According to reports, Steven Freking, 59, was parked on the shoulder of Whirlpool Drive about 1.5 miles outside of Tulsa city limits when his Honda CRV was struck by an Acura TL.

Preliminary investigations suggest the driver of the Acura, Jameson Harvey, 31, had swerved to avoid a Dodge Calibar that was making a U-turn from the southbound lane to the northbound lane. Harvey lost control of his vehicle and collided with Freking’s vehicle head-on.

Freking was taken to St. John Medical Center where he later died. Harvey sustained head and leg injuries but declined treatment at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
