Three Dead, One Critically Injured in Motorcycle-SUV Collision


According to the Chicago Tribune, three people died in a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV at an intersection in Chicago.

Details of the Fatal Crash

Two men on a motorcycle were traveling eastbound on Indianapolis Avenue around 10:20 p.m. local time. The two women in the SUV were turning left at a green light onto Avenue B when they were struck by the motorcycle.

The Chicago Tribune reports that both motorcyclists were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The 35-year-old female passenger in the SUV also died at the scene.

The 28-year-old woman who was driving the SUV survived the crash and was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.

According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), 4,295 motorcyclists died in 2014. In addition,
