Three Dead, One Injured After Tow Truck Slams into SUV

According to the Ocala Star Banner, three people died and another person was injured in a crash involving a tow truck and an SUV in Ocala, Florida, on Sunday afternoon.

About the Tow Truck Accident

The tow truck crash occurred on County Road 326 near Northeast 25th Avenue at around 5:52 p.m. local time. Three people were traveling east on CR 326 when they were hit by a tow truck that crossed over the center dividing line.

The 61-year-old driver of the SUV, a 56-year-old woman, and a 31-year-old man died in the crash. The tow truck driver, 31-year-old Travis Lee Johnson, was hospitalized in serious condition, according to the Ocala Star Banner.

Officials report that Johnson was able to get out of his vehicle on his own power, reports the Ocala Star Banner. Johnson allegedly lost control of his truck off the south-side shoulder and came back onto the highway before entering into oncoming traffic.
