Three Killed, One Injured by Tow Truck


According to WWLTV, a tow truck driver lost control of his vehicle, hitting four pedestrians and several cars that left three dead and another injured.

Police Investigating the Wreck

The fatal tow truck crash occurred around 5:00 p.m. near the intersection of Tulane and South Carrollton Avenues. The driver, traveling southbound on Tulane, drove his truck off road, striking four pedestrians and slamming into parked cars at a shopping center.

Two pedestrians died at the scene of the accident, reports WWLTV. A third pedestrian was taken to a hospital where they were pronounced dead. The tow truck driver and a fourth pedestrian were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

According to WWLTV, no other details regarding the accident are known, and the investigation is ongoing.
