Three People Hospitalized in Collision with Drunk Driver

According to the San Antonio Express-News, three people sustained serious injuries after being hit by an intoxicated driver in San Antonio, causing their vehicle to roll over.

Driver Faces Several Charges

The devastating two-vehicle wreck occurred in the 8200 block of Marbach Road at around 12:32 a.m. Thursday morning. A driver in a Lexus sped down the road and T-boned an SUV with three occupants, causing the vehicle to roll over.

The San Antonio Express-News reports that the three people inside the SUV were pinned inside. The three people suffered serious injuries and were taken to University Hospital for treatment.

Michael Shane Jasso, 43, the driver of the Lexus, faces three counts of intoxication assault, according to the San Antonio Express-News.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 28 people die in motor vehicle crashes that involve an alcohol-impaired driver every day. In addition,
