According to The Eagle, Lilian Crocker, 78, of Bryan, was traveling south on Texas 6 and had slowed for traffic when her vehicle was rear-ended by a pickup. The impact of the collision forced her SUV into a third vehicle.
Crocker was rushed to CHI St. Joseph Hospital for treatment but succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the pickup sustained minor injuries while the occupants of the third vehicle did not require medical attention.
The incident remains under investigation.
