Tractor-Trailer Collides with more than a Dozen Vehicles, Injuring Several Motorists
About the 18-wheeler Crash
The injury accident occurred on Bel Air Road near Plaza Ford at around 5:00 p.m. local time. Officials say a line of vehicles traveling northbound on Bel Air Road were struck by a tractor trailer carrying cars that veered into oncoming traffic.
In the heart of rush hour, 14 vehicles were hit by the semi, reports WJZ. The truck driver says he swerved into the opposing lanes in an attempt to avoid a car that allegedly crossed into his lane. A witness to the semi-truck wreck says at one point the semi may have went airborne as it barreled through the line of cars.
