Tractor-trailer Crashes into Two Vehicles, Killing One and Injuring Two

According to WTAE, a semi-truck crashes into two other vehicles, leaving one person dead and two injured in Middlesex Township, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday morning.

Details of the Trucking Accident

Police say a tractor-trailer was driving north on Route 8 at approximately 7:30 a.m. local time when the accident occurred. The semi crossed over the center dividing line, striking two vehicles before driving over a hillside.

The driver of the car struck by the semi-truck died at the scene of the accident, reports WTAE. The 18-wheeler operator and driver of the second vehicle were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

WTAE reports that the semi-truck ended up at the bottom of a ravine following the accident. Officials believe the investigators will spend most of Wednesday at the scene collecting evidence. The cause of the crash is currently unknown.
