A head-on collision with an 18-wheeler led to the untimely death of a Bastrop woman on April 17.
According to KXAN, the Travis County Medical Examiner identified the deceased Maria Work during the aftermath of a sudden crash. Maria Work, 49, from Bastrop, was driving a 2007 Pontiac G6 on Friday afternoon before getting into a head-on crash with an 18-wheeler vehicle.
The Texas Department of Public Safety determined that Work rode into oncoming traffic on State Highway 130 near Austin. Work was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
