A man from Liberal, Kansas is dead following a trucking accident in Hansford County Texas on Sunday.

About the Fatal Texas Trucking Accident

KSCB News reports Joshua Winkler, 24, of Liberal, Kansas, was driving a 1999 International truck towing a trailer east on SH-15 near Spearman when his vehicle was struck by a 2002 Peterbilt driven by Chad Cramer, 46.

Preliminary reports say Cramer failed to yield right of way to Winkler when attempting a left turn onto SH-15. Cramer’s truck traveled into the path of Winkler, causing the collision.

Winkler was pronounced dead at the scene. Cramer was transported to the Hansford County Hospital where he was treated and released.

The accident remains under investigation.
